During our recent family holiday at Hotel Medemblik, we found it to be a suitable base for exploring the charming town and surrounding North Holland. The newly renovated hotel, located near the IJsselmeer, provided a pleasant environment for relaxation after a day of activities. Our sons thoroughly enjoyed the accessible family beaches with their shallow waters, perfect for a day of swimming and sunbathing. We also took advantage of the nearby cycling routes, which allowed us to explore traditional Dutch farmhouses while enjoying quality family time together. The staff, including the helpful Karin and Petra, ensured our needs were met, even accommodating an early departure with thoughtful breakfast boxes. While the restaurant offered decent meals, I found the breakfast included in our package to be quite satisfactory. Hotel Medemblik is a practical choice for families seeking a welcoming atmosphere in a picturesque location.
